Have you been to a great restaurant, bought tools at a business and got superior service, now you can tell everyone about it. This is a comprehensive implementation of locations that facilitates the posting of interesting places.

 

Locations has unique features such as the ability to post reviews of places, the ability to add multiple events, accommodation, transportation, shops, nightlife and places to eat. Each of these will appear as a built-in sub-section of a particular location.

 

Members can use localization features that allows searches based on countries and states.

 

Google maps (with street views) is integrated and allows radius based search and display of locations on a map.

Location Reviews

 

Members can post feedback and reviews on locations. This will provide enlightening information for potential travelers.

 

Events

 

Add activity spots and events such as golf, rec. centers, hunting and fishing etc.

 

Transportation

 

Ability to add available transportation such as buses, taxis, tours etc.

 

Accommodation

 

Ability to add accommodations to a location. Examples of accommodations are hotels, vacation homes, bed and breakfast etc.

 

Food and Drinks

 

Ability to add eating places. Examples of eating places are cafes, bars, pubs, restaurants etc.

 

Nightlife

 

Ability to add places of entertainment such as night clubs, karaoke, casinos etc.

 

Shops

Ability to add places to shop such as book stores, art galleries, clothing stores etc.

  

Fans

 

Members can tag a location as "going there", "been there" or "here now"

Global States/Regions

 

This is not limited to a single country. The mod includes a listing of states/regions for all countries. When adding an location, the state field is automatically populated upon selection of a country.

 

Locations Localization

 

You can drill down locations based on location. An additional section is included which lists all countries in the world. Upon selection of a country, all regions in that country are displayed. Upon selection of a region, the listings occurring at that location are displayed.

Block to display other members that are in the same location as the profile owner

 

Account Page

 

Locations in my area - displays the locations located in the same city that the member is located.

 

My locations - displays the locations posted by the member.

Auto Location Detector

 

Location main page detects the profile country of the viewer and displays a listing of the corresponding states.

Enhanced Membership Filter

 

Adds the ability to limit viewing of an individual location to a particular membership level.

 

Enhanced Media Access

 

Adds the ability for admin to restrict upload of videos, photos, sounds and files to particular membership levels. This is in addition to restrictions for paid listings.

 

External Video Embedding

 

Adds the ability to allow members to embed videos from video sharing sites such as youtube.

Advanced search functionality to allow searching by keyword, category, sub-category, country, state, city.
