OilPals Premium Events - Maps, News, Venue, Sponsors

This is a complete overhaul of our old system with many new features and enhancements including featured listings, google maps v3, event news, event sponsors, facebook comments, social sharing.

By far, the most comprehensive and feature-packed extension of the events module available.

Event Listings

Event packages – OilPals has a variety of different event packages with different benefits. The variables are:

A) allow videos
B) allow photos
C) allow sounds
D) allow files
E) number of days a listing will show for.

If you would like a package with more than the basic features please contact us.

Re-listing and Package Extension

At any time before a listing expires, the owner can choose to extend the length of time it is listed for.

At any time after a listing expires, the owner can choose to re-list the listing. This is very convenient as it prevents the member from having to create the listing from scratch again. During re-listing, a different package can be chosen if desired.

Free Event Listings

Members post events with basic features for free.

We run various promotional packages that allows the free listing of events with additional features for a specified length of time. If you are a member you will be notified when a promotion is available.

Paid Featured Event Listings

This feature allows a member to enhance their featured event listings. Benefits included are:

·    Integrated google maps (v3)

·    Google maps with street view on event view page

·    Google maps with street view on event main page that shows properties within a stated distance from an address (configurable in miles or km)

Facebook Comments

Includes integration with facebook to allow members to post facebook comments.

Social Sharing

Allows sharing of the event on twitter, facebook and other popular networks.

Event News

Event host can now post news items about a particular event.

News with the latest posted news is shown on event view page.

Sub-section added to event page to allow browsing all news items.

Event Sponsors

Many events have sponsors that contribute to them. Event host can now highlight and promote those sponsors by listing them on the events page.

Sponsors area with the latest sponsors is shown on event view page.

Event Venues

Some events are hosted at different venues. Event host can now list those venues on the events page.

Latest venues are shown on event view page.

Participants List

Event host now has the ability to export the list of participants to excel or print the list.

Pre and Post Expiration Notifications

Expiration date will be set on free event listings

Event listing owners will be sent reminders a preset number of days before the listing expires and/or a preset number of days after the listing expires.

Enhanced Access Restriction

Members can create "invitation only" events. Access can be restricted to participants only and the event admin will have to send an invitation for others to join. The invitation will be delivered to both internal and external mail and will have an accept invite link.

Multiple Event RSS Feeds

This exciting feature allows individual events to have their own rss feed. This ability can be restricted to particular membership levels.

Has the ability to inject multiple feeds for an individual event.

Participants

A participants info section is included that allows the event admin to post information viewable to participants only.

Recurring Events

Administration can setup events to occur weekly, by-weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually. Whenever the event expires, the start and end dates are automatically updated to the next occurrence. Participants from the previous occurrence of the events are automatically notified of the new date.

Global States/Regions

This is not limited to a single country. The mod includes a listing of states/regions for all countries. When adding an event, the state field is automatically populated upon selection of a country.

Events Localization

Now you can search events based on location. An additional section is included which lists all countries in the world. Upon selection of a country, all regions in that country are displayed. Upon selection of a region, the events occurring at that location are displayed.

Account Page

Events in my area - the account page is now enhanced to include an additional block displaying the events happening in the same city that the member is located.

Enhanced Events View Page

More local events - lists other events happening in the same city as the event being viewed.

Other events by member - lists other events posted by the creator of the event being viewed.

Organizer info - displays information such as name, email, website etc for the actual organizer of an event.

Auto Location Detector

Event create form is enhanced so that the country of the event creator is selected by default.

Optional Extend View of Events

Events are displayed in compact or extended view.

Improved Broadcasting

The broadcasting feature has been enhanced to also allow sending of messages to the members inbox.

Improved Invitation

The invitation feature has been enhanced to also allow sending of messages to the member's inbox.

Event Reminders

The event admin can optionally setup the event to send reminders to participants a preset number of days before the event starts.

Enhanced Membership Filter

Adds the ability to limit viewing of an individual event to a particular membership level or limit viewing to event admin’s only

Enhanced Media Access

Super improvement which adds the ability for admin to restrict upload of videos, photos, sounds and files to particular membership levels

External Video Embedding

Allows members to embed videos from video sharing sites such as youtube.

Enhanced search

Improvement of the search functionality to allow searching by keyword, categories, country, state, city, start date, end date.
